One-Click - Automation - Option to send to Extended Contacts
We’ve introduced a new option to manage email delivery to Extended Contacts when setting up automations.
This enhancement gives users finer control over who receives automation emails ensuring the right recipients are included while preventing duplicate deliveries.
How it Works:
When building an automation, you can now control how automation emails are sent to Extended Contacts.
You have three options:
Send to All Extended Contacts
Send to Specific Person Types
Do Not Send to Extended Contacts (default)
For automations under the Customer category, an extra filter is available to manage delivery scope:
All Extended Contacts from Primary Location only, or
Across All Service Locations
The Manage Location option is exclusive to the Customer category. Other categories (e.g., Invoice) automatically send only to the location where the related data belongs.
Locating the Extended Contact Option in Automation
Click on Settings from the left-hand panel
Go to Email/Text Communications section
Click on Automations
Click on Create New Automation
Find the Extended Contact Options in the same step where you can Describe your Automation

Notes:
Default behavior of Automations excludes Extended Contacts unless configured otherwise.
The Manage Location option applies only to Customer-based automations.
Not available in the Review category, since review requests are sent only to the original recipient’s email.
Prevents duplicate deliveries and ensures precise targeting for automation emails.
