One-Click - ESM Proposal - Add Lost Reason when Proposal is Marked as Lost
We’ve added a new “Lost Reason” field to the ESM Proposals module to help users track and understand why proposals are being lost.
This improvement brings consistency between proposals and opportunities, enabling better reporting and follow-up strategies based on the reasons behind lost deals.
How it Works:
When a user sets the Proposal Status to Lost, the Lost Reason dropdown becomes visible. Users can then select a reason from the predefined list before saving.
After saving, the selected Lost Reason will appear directly under the Proposal Status in the View Proposal screen. The field remains editable, allowing updates if circumstances change.
Locating the Field:
Click on the Actions button at the top panel
Under ESM section select View ESM Proposals
Click Edit Proposal Status.
Choose Lost from the status options.
A new dropdown field labeled Lost Reason will appear automatically.

Notes:
The Lost Reason field appears only when the Proposal Status is set to Lost.
This functionality is available in both Command Center and App.
Field options are displayed alphabetically for quick selection and ease of use.

Competitor has better pricing
Competitor has preferred brand
Customer not ready to decide
Customer repaired existing system
Customer unresponsive
Delayed follow-up
Exceeded Customer Budget
Financing not available
