Customer Record Display Setting - If Invoice is Complete & Paid, but there is money owed, what should display?
In Version 18.3, we added a new Setting to determine what should display on the Customer Record, Invoice table. This setting controls specifically what value displays in the Amount Owed column.
The values for the setting are either:
Amount Owed
Here, regardless of Invoice status, the software will display the actual amount owed.
Leave Blank
Here, if the status is Complete & Paid, the Amount Owed will be blank. This is for companies that have closed down the invoice without being able to collect money and don't want their people to think they need to still collect payment. Please note if the Invoice Status is not Complete & Paid, then it will display the Amount Owed as expected.

Here, the even though the Invoice has a Status of Complete & Paid, we will display the actual amount owed.
Option 2 - Leave Blank
Example - Leave Blank
Here, the Invoice Status is Complete & Paid, but the Amount Owed column is now blank.
Notes:
- Be careful with this setting. Make sure your entire team is aware of this setting and how the company is planning to address the situation where you are no longer collecting on an amount owed, even though the work has been completed.
