Customer Record - Ability to set the Customer Note Date
Previously, the software automatically assigns the current date as the creation timestamp for all notes, with no option to override it. This default behavior limits flexibility and may lead to data misrepresentation when entering backdated or legacy notes.
To address this, a new company-level setting has been introduced, enabling users to manually set or modify note dates - ensuring accurate historical record-keeping without disrupting existing workflows for current clients.
New Settings Location
- From the left-hand menu, click on Settings.
- Under Customer Settings, go to General Settings.
- In Other Settings, you will find:
- Enable Manual Note Date Entry?
- When this setting is set to Yes, there is a secondary setting:
- Allow Editing Note Date After Creation?

Notes:
- Users can input backdated customer notes to reflect their true creation timeline, helping maintain accurate records when migrating or importing legacy data.
- By tracking who edited a note date and when, the software supports audit trails, making it easier to trace historical changes for compliance.
