Starting with 11.2, companies can now create Rich Text Emails that include formatting like - different font styles, bold, italics, bullet points, numbered bullet points, block quotes and putting information into tables.

This functionality is available for All Email Communications.

For each Email Communication there is a control that allows companies to switch between the current Plain Text email and Rich Text emails.  You can toggle back and forth, but the software will only send the version that is currently selected.
