How to get usage logs/error reports from an iPad to our technical suppport team
On occasion the P3 app will stop working and close down. When you click to open the app again, normally you will receive a message to send an error report to our technical department. Please select the option to send the report.
If you do not receive a message for whatever reason, there is another way to send the report. Please see the instructions and video below.
These error reports are extremely important as they contain all of the detailed technical information as to why the crash happened. Sometimes the reason is as simple as a device having too many apps open or not enough storage space and other times it due to the coding of our software.
We want nothing more than to fix any problem we can prevent, but we will never be able to determine the exact cause without this detailed information. We understand it takes time to do so when you are already extremely busy and greatly appreciate the extra effort.
Short Instructions
- Go to the iPad Settings
- Click Privacy
- Click Diagnostics & Usage
- Click Diagnostic & Usage Data
- Find the entry that starts with "HVAC_"
- Click the entry
- Copy and paste the text in your existing ticket or email to support@p3helpdesk.com
