Should I Delete or mark a Technician Inactive?
When a Technician has either moved on or has been terminated - you will need to make a decision on whether to make Inactive or Delete.
Setting a Technician to Inactive
Changing this setting will remove all data/information that has been linked to the Technician will stay within P3. This includes Invoices, Diagnostics, Notes, ESM proposals, Past Service Calls, etc. Once Inactive, the Technician will no longer be able to Login to the P3 App.
*Note* We recommend this option for any technician that is no longer with your company. Doing so will preserve the Technician data.
Deleting a Technician
Deleting a Technician will remove the Tech along with all information that is associated to the Technician ID. This includes Invoices, Diagnostics, Notes, ESM proposals, Past Service Calls, etc.
*Note* We STRONGLY recommend against this because you will lose all data/information that has been linked to the Technician.
After one of these actions are performed, a license will free up to be used for your new hire so that you can add them immediately to P3.
