How to Add Technicians
Create A Technician:
- Access P3 by going to website: https://www.pictureperfectpricing.com/p3/.
- In the left-hand menu, click Settings
- At the bottom right side of the page, under the “Users” section, click Technicians.
- The following Page will be displayed.
- Click Create Technician.
- The “Create Technician” page will be displayed.
- Enter the information about your technician as it applies below:
- Technician Information:
- App Access: Indicates if the technician will have access to the application on a tablet in the field. Select No if you want to have a technician/installer on the calendar but not have access to the app.
- Technician Name*: Technicians First and Last Name
- Bio: This is information about your technician that will be displayed to the customer when the technician indicates in the app they are on their way to the customer. (Example: Technician qualifications/licenses, years of service with the company, interests, etc.)
- Tech Photo: You may upload a photo file in JPG, JPEG, or PNG format that is less than 1 MB in size, to be displayed to the customer when the bio is sent. Ideal image size is 200 pixels with width 200 pixels height.
- Invoice Information:
- Invoice Prefix: Usually set to the technician's initial, this prefix is added to the front of the counter to help easily identify which technician created an invoice.
- Invoice Counter: This is the technician’s individual invoice counter. Typically the counter starts at 1000.
- Proposal Information:
- Proposal Prefix: Usually set to the technician's initial, this prefix is added to the front of the counter to help easily identify which technician created an proposal.
- Proposal Counter: This is the technician’s individual proposal counter. Typically the counter starts at 1000.
- Settings:
- Cost Per Hour: Enter an amount if you plan to use the job cost report to receive profitability reports on service calls/jobs.
- Status*: (Active/Inactive) Sets the technician to active or inactive for using the application. Note: If a technician is set to “inactive” but previously had access to the app, then the technician’s previous activity will be available in reports.
- Installed Status*: (Yes/No) - Please note that once installed, the technician's username and password cannot be used to login into another app, even on the same device. If you need to reinstall the app on the device for any reason, you must reset this Install Status.
- Give Technician In-Route Email Delivery Control?: (Yes/No) If there are situations where you would want the on-the-way message to not be sent to the customer, then select Yes. In this situation, the software will prompt the technician to confirm if the on-the-way message should be sent. If you want to send it automatically, then select No.
- Dispatch Information:
- To optimize scheduling, you may enter the technicians home address here to allow the location to appear on the dispatch map.
- GPS Insight Integration Info:
- VIN: If integrating with GPS Insight, enter the technician’s truck VIN number here so that the vehicle will show on the dispatch map.
- Technician Information:
- Click Submit.
